Hey Holly! This effect you want to create for the opening scene is very easy to do in after effects. its basically masking, maybe some scale and a slow camera movement. If you need some help, just call me!!!! =D Ah! and for the final credits, you just need to have some elements animated.... as the falling leaves (that is simple to do in maya) and the animated characters. after this, it's very simple to put everything together.
